My photography journey

I first started photography at GCSE, although I was not particularly enthusiastic about it at the time. This was largely because we were not taught how to properly use our cameras; instead, we were told to use our phones. Our teacher lacked extensive knowledge of photography and was unable to provide detailed feedback.

I decided to pursue photography again at Farnborough College of Technology, doing a Level 3 Photography BTEC course, and I love it.

I made a lot of friends, clients, and created amazing work that I am excited to share with the world. What's even better is that during my time there, I was taught how to use my camera, a film camera, a pinhole camera, and a range of alternative processes such as Cyanotypes, like Anna Atkins, Photograms, and more, to the point that I have completed commissions outside of college. I have shot in studio settings, on location, and worked in a darkroom. From the course, I have explored outside my comfort zone more than ever before; I have shot a netball game, a gig, and much more. Because of these experiences, I have identified my love in photography live events, sports, portraits, and still life.
